It was sunny yesterday and continues today! Finally! I tried to get a picture off my front porch (where I just put a pink begonia out), and Bert was laying at the bottom of the stairs. I thought that was weird, he is always laying on the porch just outside the door. As I went to step out on the porch, I realized why he was hiding. More than a few bees had found my potted flowers! I yelled for him and he jumped and ran in the door before any of the bees got inside. I think he might have gotten stung. I brushed him down and didn't find anything, but he is acting like he was beaten! LOL! The bees will do that to him! Everything will be in bloom soon with the sun out. The bees will have other things to do. It will be about 50 today, but still about freezing at night so I bring the flowers in after dinner. Actually Tim does! I put them out in the morning, he brings them in for the night. LOL!
The picture is from 4 years ago. This is the inside of my barn. It has collapsed now. Not from the roof damaged shown here, but Tim says it had shifted on the foundation and after a very hard winter it fell the next spring after this was taken. The walls still remain, but the roof fell in a circular pattern inside the barn. Pretty, but different. Hardly anything is outside the walls. I took this picture because it reminded me of the inside of a church. The picture doesn't do it justice. It was beautiful! Yes...I still miss the barn.
That is about it for this Friday. Tim has a new beekeeper visiting this afternoon. Her first year with hives and she heard about Tim and called to come and get some advice and see how he does things. He has helped many in the area with their bees, so I am not surprised people are seeking him out. I think he needs to put an outline together of his learned knowledge. Right? Anyway, he is getting ready to head out to bee country. The ones on the porch will follow him! I know that is crazy, but they love the big guy. Bert will tag along, but keep his distance. I have "domestic" duties! LOL!
