Finish Friday

Posted by Tammy Chapman on

Posting a pic of some of my crabapple jelly.  A few weeks ago a dear friend gave me a big jar of crabapple juice.  Just boiled down crabapples, but she did most of the work.  I just boiled it up with equal amounts of sugar and I got 5 jars of crabapple jelly.  It set up all on its own because of the natural pectin in the crabapples.  We LOVE it!  Tim pretty much ate the 1st jar by himself.  I can eat apples, but was leery to try it.  Not only can I eat it...but it is the best!  We are about through the 2nd big jar and have these 2 and another big one left.  Know what is really good about it?  I choked again this morning on my toast.  Yup!  It was another bad one, but I managed to cough up the chunk, and it still tasted great because of the wonderful crabapple jelly!  LOL!  What's a girl to do?  It was just too good!  Now of course I am a little upset about the choking incident again, but at least this time it was worth it!

It has been a long week again here and I am still tired.  Tim is getting around this morning to make our last deliveries to our Farmers Market distributor.  Two more markets and it is done for the year.  We have had a great year at the Markets!  People are starting to know us locally and are coming back for more!  Always great to see repeat customers!

The neighbor just stopped over with a goodie from the river!  The fall run is on and he has today off so he is fishing.  His family likes the Walleyes...we are good with the Northerns, so if he gets a Northern, he usually brings it over.  Nicest neighbors!  He does Maple Syrup, so we trade Honey for Syrup.  He is also the one who has helped Tim with the skunk traps, although we haven't gotten one yet.  Great to know such great people live across the river.  This fishy says, "Good Morning All"!

Have a great weekend!
