Fall is Falling

I did get my onions out!  I broke one of my glass bowls, but I had extra so not a big deal.  I feel much better now that they are out.  The weather has been cool and rainy the past few days.  The highs over the rest of the week are only in the low 40's and the low's are in the low 20's!!!  Yes, the heat went on Monday night.  It is only set at 65 (for now) and even with the drizzly weather, that is toasty in here.  Need to remember to run my humidifier now at night. ...

First Spaghetti Squash Supper

Posted by Tammy Chapman on

Here is our first roasted spaghetti squash of the year!  Roasted, and wonderful!  We shred it from here in the skin and it looks like beautiful yellow spaghetti!  I have my own favorite recipe for over the squash.  You could make it all veggy, but I use venison sausage (our own) so it is very low fat.  We don't like red sauce over our squash, so I make my own alfredo sauce with cauliflower(Tim is dairy free) and it is so creamy and delicious!  I am going to share this easy recipe with you today.  It is cold and rainy...

I finished up in my...

I just want you to know that I have done this for about 13 years now, and the only time I got the flu was the first year we moved here and I had my stroke.  I forgot about putting onions out!  Yup...Christmas Eve Tim, Nick and I were all sick with the flu.  Just to put this in...

Tough Week

Posted by Tammy Chapman on

We have had a good August-Sept so far.  Several weddings, visit with Nick on his birthday, cool days, cooler nights!  Good Garden harvest, etc.  It has been a very thankful time lately.  Today is a change in the dynamic.  Last Saturday we went to, and participated in a wedding ceremony of a dear friends oldest daughter.  We were so looking forward to the festivities!  Early Saturday morning Tim got a call from our friends.  Their oldest son had passed away.  The day of his sister's wedding.  I don't care, nothing can prepare you for that call.  The couple decided to...
