Cold/Flu/Allergy Remedies

Posted by Tammy Chapman on

I didn't post Monday.  Why?  Because Tim & I have both been sick.  I started out sick last Thursday.  Tim woke up sick on Friday.  I started taking our Flu Remedy right away, and so did Tim.  I have a compromised immune system and allergies to A LOT of foods (especially acids).  Our Flu Remedy has ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar) in it.  I can only take a few doses and then my tongue and cheeks blister.  But Tim kept taking it!  He is all better now and I am still fighting it.  I was so sick that I actually went and tested for Covid.  I'm negative (a good thing) but I just needed to know what I was fighting.  The pure honey helps, especially the cough.  Of course, my Nettie pot is my favorite thing right now because I can breath when I use it!  Summer cold?  Probably.  But Tim is on the mend and I was up all night coughing!  My ribs are soooo sore!  I just wanted to make a quick post before I go take a nap!

Beautiful weather!  83 and Sunny yesterday!  Even kicked on my newly repaired A/C yesterday.  It worked great...for a few hours.  Then it quit...AGAIN!  About 8pm we opened up all the windows and it was actually cooler outside than it was in the house.  A nice breeze!  Kept all the windows open last night!  A perfect 65 in here this morning.  Heating up again today to about 80, but there is a wonderful breeze and I did bake dinner for tonight THIS MORNING while it was cool.  We can just warm up in microwave tonight!  I have learned how to beat this summer heat in a trailer with no A/C!  You get up early and do what you can and then pray there are enough fans to keep enough air moving to cool you.  I did manage to make a big pot of homemade chicken noodle soup that we ate on all weekend.  I LOVE chicken noodle soup when you are sick.  Not the can stuff.  REAL soup!  That and sleep are the best medicine (oh...Honey helps too)!

I hope you are all...
