I was able to get my feeder off of the porch yesterday without being stung. Even I was shocked! LOL! Tim was in his bee suit and he grabbed the strawberry for me. I only had 1 straggler hanging onto the strawberry, and she quickly flew to the window for me to let her out. I was able to fill the window feeder and the one I had in the tree (now the porch feeder) last night and I hung the porch feeder back over by the tree on the shepherds hook with the chimes. Better chimes than mad bees! The chimes feeder is almost empty this morning! I made more food, I will fill up the chime feeder again soon, but I am not filling the strawberry until the bees are gone. There is quite a few bees out there looking for that strawberry this morning! If I don't see any this afternoon, I will wait till evening (the bees will go home to their hives for the night) and I will hang it up then. Hopefully the bees will find their own food and not be interested in the lightened nectar I am feeding the hummers right now. I am hoping by tonight things will be back to normal? Is there such a thing? Wish me luck!
The picture is NOT Tim, but it gives you an idea of the amount of bees that accumulate around you! I am not going to be out there taking pictures!
