October will soon be over...ALREADY! Every day seems to go faster and slip away. Tim and Nick are gone with Bert duck hunting this weekend. I am going to try to minimize my work time today in the office. It has been quiet, and I have a list of my own "to do" things I would like to accomplish this weekend. Wish me luck!
It was in the low 20's here last night and we had our first real flakes of snow yesterday afternoon. The snow didn't stick, or last long, but it is coming soon! I was chilly last night without Tim & Bert to snuggle with! The sun is out this morning, but still only 25 out. Good day to stay in and work on projects.
Tim fed "the girls" (the bees) before he left for hunting. Not very active at all now, and have been hunkered in the hives for several days. Unless it gets in the 40's they will be in hibernation mode. Tim was hoping it would be mid-November before he took them into storage. I think he is going to start the process next week. They are fine for now, especially with the sun out, but soon the snow flakes won't stop, the wind will howl, and the sun will go bye-bye for weeks at a time! My baby bees need protection. I feel it will be a long winter.
I hope you have an amazing Friday and even a better weekend! SMILE!
